AnalyzingOshii is dedicated to providing critical analyses for films which have not been thoroughly studied or have been overlooked by the masses and academia. Some of the other topics planned for this site will include articles and research on Cyberlaw, Cyberpsychology, and Transhumanism.
About the Blogger: Sean Hartlieb is a J.D. graduate from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is currently conducting research for his second nonfiction book, The Apocalyptic Agenda: The Ills and Wills of Transhumanism, exploring arguments in favor of and against Transhumanism as interrelated with Cyberlaw and Bioethics.
In addition, a supplement to his first nonfiction book, Humanity in Anime: Analyzing the Films of Mamoru Oshii, will be forthcoming. It will cover Oshii’s most recent films (Nowhere Girl, Patlabor: The Next Generation, etc.) and his minor works (Gosenzo-sama Banbanzai!, Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, The Amazing Lives of the Fast Food Grifters, and Oshii’s novel for Blood: The Last Vampire).
